Activism and Influencing

STAND's members are passionate about influencing both local and national work and about changing the stigma around dementia.

STAND's members continually strive towards a new day through:

• involvement in policy making, 
• sharing lived experience of dementia on local and national projects,
• representing people living with dementia at conferences and arts festivals both in Scotland and internationally,
• getting involved in research.

STAND also links with Age Scotland's About Dementia project and their work to make a meaningful impact in influencing policy and practice for people living with dementia: About Dementia | Age Scotland (ageuk.org.uk)
